CEgal

A CEgal (plural: CEgals) is a female user of the Current Events message board. Unlike CEmen, which is often used as a unisex term, CEgal refers to females exclusively.
As females are relatively scarce on GameFAQs (as evidenced by this 2007 poll), CEgals tend to receive a disproportionate amount of attention from the males of the board. Because of this, among other factors, CEgals as a whole have developed a unique niche within the CE community. They are known for their interactions with one another, which can range from being very friendly (e.g. moxillaq and juliaisaninja) to bitter and full of CEdrama (e.g. Kaybelf and Leanaunfurled/Hermiione). They are also notorious for having their nudes or semi-nudes leaked over the Internet (as in the case of zombiecowboyz, LaceSuicide, Emmassacre, Kassieplx, glitch_gremlin, stupidness_blah, Fireside, and possibly others).
CEgals who come out of the closet about their biological sex risk facing harassment from the male majority of the site. The more popular CEgals are frequently accused of being attention whores because of the size of response their topics usually get. Defenders of CEgals are known as White Knights, whereas opponents are known as Black Knights.
Etymology
In 2005, after CEmen was an established term, CE had a few topics dedicated to naming female users. PuCE was used for a week or two but fell into disuse when the moderators realized that it was a censor bypass. CEgal then picked up widespread popularity, possibly as a play on seagull. CEnorita also became a common alternative term to refer to female CE users.
